A Data Analytics Specialist interprets data and turns it into information which can offer ways to improve a business, thus affecting business decisions. Data Analysts gather information from various sources and interpret patterns and trends –as such a Data Analyst job description should highlight the analytical nature of the role. •Consolidating and analyzing financial data, taking into account company’s goals and financial standing
•Providing creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance
•Assembling and summarizing data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risks
•Support the development of financial organizational strategies by contributing financial and accounting information,analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction; establishing functional objectives in line with organizational objectives
•Supports the establishment of financial operational strategies by evaluating trends; establishing critical measurements;determining production, productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies; designing systems; accumulating resources;resolving problems; implementing change
•Support the development organization prospects by studying economic trends and revenue opportunities; projecting acquisition and expansion prospects; analyzing organization operations; identifying opportunities for improvement, cost-reduction, and systems enhancement; accumulating capital to fund expansion.
•Support the development of financial strategies by forecasting capital, facilities, and staff requirements; identifying monetary resources; developing action plans.

• 1-2 years with Excel - Creating spreadsheets, formulas, graphs
A bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics or Economics and/or equivalent work experience
•2-3 years of analyzing datasets and comprehensive reporting
•Experience with data models and reporting packages
•Ability to analyze large datasets
