Job Details:

• Second shift, Friday-Monday
• 3:00 pm-11:00 pm
• 20 minute lunch period paid, Not allowed to leave.
• Pay rate $17.25/hr

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for setting up and operating grinding machines to shape, sharpen and polish metal parts
• Must be able to interpret technical drawings, set up the grinding machines and adjust the cutting tools to achieve desired results
• Must also be knowledgeable in the safe use of the grinding machines and must possess a good understanding of the principles of grinding, such as angles, speed, pressure and feed rate
• Must also be able to record and maintain accurate production records and ensure that the machines are kept in good working order.
• Dress grinding wheels according to company and legal regulations
• Monitor operation to determine whether adjustments are necessary
• Halt or troubleshoot machines when needed or call for repairs
• Grind, sand, clean, and polish objects or parts to correct defects
• Prepare surfaces for finishing by utilizing hand and power tools
• Inspect product quality and damages
• Comply with health and safety regulations and always wear protective gear

Position Requirements:

• Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting is a plus
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• May be required to stand for long periods
• Must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions
• May engage in frequent bending, squatting, pushing, and pulling
• Great attendance and punctual
