JOB DETAILS

  • Second shift, Monday - Friday
  • 7:00 pm - 5:30 am

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sets up lathes, machining centers, and robots
  • Performs tool changes as required and verifies all dimensions using appropriate measuring instruments and gauges
  • Enters and edits machine programs at the auto cells; sets up parameters by completing appropriate check sheets
  • Operates and maintains the Henry coolant and Ultra filter systems & records pertinent data on S.P.C. and other check sheets
  • Performs cleaning, preventative maintenance, fluid level checks, minor repairs, and adjustments for all machining department equipment and processes
  • Performs regular spot-checks of equipment to ensure proper and continuous functioning
  • Collects and documents data for quality checks at designated intervals
  • Performs the basic duties of the preventative maintenance operator, wheel checker, and material handler in the event of absences
  • Monitors and corrects any quality issues in machining
  • Coordinate and help contain any defective wheels
  • Operates and maintains Buffer System
  • Performs other duties as assigned


POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Six months or more of related machining experience is preferred
  • Post-high school education is preferred
  • Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred 
  • Working knowledge of department equipment and processes measured by successful completion of prerequisite proficiency tests within a four-month period
  • Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (S.P.C.) is required
  • Successful completion of advanced Utility Operator training modules within a two-year period following the completion of the prerequisite test
  • May engage in frequent bending, squatting, pushing, and pulling
  • Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills
  • Great attendance and punctual
