RESPONSIBILITIES

Assemble iron and steel components to form a frame at a construction site
Place foundation reinforcements according to blueprints and instructions
Operate hoisting equipment to move heavy materials
Bolt or weld components together
Ensure alignment before bolting is complete
Collaborate with construction workers to erect beams
Check alignment with laser-guided computer software and systems
Ride on structural-steel members to accurately position them or use tools to guide them into place
Comply with health and safety regulations and always wear protective equipment

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Experience in steel working/construction is required
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Follow directions and complete tasks promptly
Stand for an extended time
Engage in bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, and lifting
Cannot be afraid of heights
Able to work in various weather and temperature conditions
