RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure local and national building codes and ordinances, contract specifications, and zoning regulations are followed
Approve satisfactory building plans
Monitor construction sites routinely to confirm compliance
Complete inspections with survey instruments, metering devices, and test equipment
Examine plumbing, electric, and other necessary systems
Examine alignment, elevation, and level of structures
Issue stop-work orders and violation notices until the project adheres to regulations
Record and maintain daily logs and pictures taken during the inspection
Present written documentation of inspection findings

Position Requirement:

High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience in a construction setting
Ability to learn on the job
State and local jurisdiction may require a license or certification
Reliable transportation to inspect various sites
Strong written and verbal communication
Ability to meet deadlines
Strong attention to detail
