RESPONSIBILITIES

• Transport goods or passengers along the assigned route or within the specified territory
• Safely operate and maneuver a large vehicle
• Comply with rules and regulations and always wear protective gear
• Follow a strict schedule
• Be aware of traffic, construction, and weather that may affect the route
• Be aware of weight limitations and hazardous materials regulations
• Be flexible to change routes due to closures
• Utilize a GPS
• Inspect and maintain vehicles to ensure safe operation and transportation
• Coordinate with dispatchers and other logistics team members before, during, and after transportation
• Complete log, forms, documents, and paperwork as required

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Driver’s license and clean driving record
• Capability to operate vehicles for several hours a day
• Comfortable sitting for an extended time
• Ability to alter routes quickly and efficiently when needed
• Strong communication, time management, and collaboration skills
• Ability to adhere to a strict schedule and make deliveries on time
• Engage in bending, squatting, pulling, lifting, and pushing
• Attention to detail
• Problem-solving and decision-making ability
• Ability to work and drive in various weather conditions
