RESPONSIBILITIES

Diagnose problems, often by computerized diagnostic equipment, and repair vehicle engine systems
Complete emissions inspections, safety checks, and state-regulated examinations to ensure they are working properly
Repair or replace brake and steering systems
Analyze and fix electrical and electronic systems
Perform basic care and maintenance by changing oil, checking fluid levels, and rotating tires
Change and repair transmission and fuel components
Repair air conditioners, engine cooling systems, and other cooling components
Accurately complete paperwork reporting work performed
Clearly explain automotive issues and repairs to clients
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Previous automotive education and/or experience is required
Mechanical skills
Knowledge of tools, equipment, and methods needed to complete tasks
Customer service and communication skills
Detail-oriented
Problem-solving and troubleshooting knowledge
