Job Details:

• First shift, Monday - Friday

Responsibilities:

• Read blueprints, data, manuals, or other materials to verify specifications
• Establish inspection and testing procedures, adjustment methods, certification processes, formulas, or measuring instruments needed
• Perform in-process and final inspections of machined parts using manual calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools to ensure conformance with specifications
• Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics to verify part dimensions and tolerances
• Accurately convert measurements from metric to standard (and vice versa) as required
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, non-conformance reports, and other quality-related documentation
• Carefully inspect incoming and in-process products for project specifications
• Conduct visual, measurement, and weight tests and complete inspection reports
• Mark items with acceptance or rejection status
• Convey any needed adjustments to the supervisor
• Reject or return any materials that do not match specifications or pass tests
• Verify that equipment is functioning at specified levels and schedule maintenance when needed
• Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and always wear protective gear

Position Requirements:

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Proven experience in a CNC machine shop environment
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
• Skilled in using manual calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments
• Outstanding communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
• Strong mathematical skills, including unit conversions between metric and standard systems
• Ability to utilize tools and equipment needed for inspections
• Follow written and verbal instructions
• Perform random and scheduled inspections     
• May need to stand for long periods
• Dependable and have great attendance
• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
