Job Details:

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate cost, create a budget, and follow government and company regulations
• Schedule and monitor transportation, storage, or distribution activities
• Hire and train team members
• Negotiate with equipment dealers, transportation carriers, and end-users
• Resolve shipment errors promptly
• Verify that documentation follows government regulations
• Research warehouses/storage accommodations that match organizational needs
• Track warehouse and logistics performance metrics
• Provide leadership and guidance to teams responsible for logistics and transportation
• Ensure delivery dates are met
• Build and execute strategies for business development and growth
• Routinely schedule testing, maintenance, repairs, or replacements

Position Requirements:

• Previous leadership experience
• Logistics, transportation, or distribution-related work experience
• Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center
• Negotiation and budgeting experience
• Outstanding communication, interpersonal, time-management, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and is accountable
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Mathematics skill
